WILLIAMS, WILLIAM HENRY (BILLY) November 8, 1937 -
August 5, 2012 Formerly of Highland Mills and Newburgh, NY William
Henry Williams, a resident of Myrtle Beach, SC, formerly a longtime
resident of Orange County, entered into rest Sunday, August 5, 2012
at Conway Medical Center, SC. He was 74. The son of the late
George and Gladys Williams, he was born November 8, 1937 in Nyack. Bill
was a veteran of the United States Navy. He graduated from Nyack
High School in 1955. He began his career in the early 1960's at
Lederle in Pearl River, NY and retired in 2008 from NexxLinx in
Newburgh, NY, where he was lovingly known as "HR Willy".
He and Carol retired to Myrtle Beach, SC in 2008. His passions were
fishing, golfing, woodworking, going to the beach and being the
biggest fan at all of his four grandchildren's school activities,
along with attending every soccer, hockey, baseball and softball
game.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 51 years, Carol
(Dauksza) Williams; daughters, Cheryl Carey and her husband, Raymond
of Newburgh, NY, Hope Jones of Newburgh, NY; grandchildren: Brittany
Carey, Nicholas Carey, Courtney Jones and Patrick Jones, all of
Newburgh. He was predeceased by his brother, George Williams and
his sister, Gladys Williams. Bill's memorial service will be
held, Wednesday, August 29 at 6 p.m. at Grace United Methodist Church,
468 Broadway, Newburgh, NY. Arrangements made by Myrtle Beach
Funeral Home, 4505 Highway 17 Bypass, Myrtle Beach, SC. Memorial
contributions can be made to a charity of one's choice.
