Matt Clark Matthew Richard Clark Sr. of Mansfield Township, New Jersey died suddenly on October 19th, 2016. Matthew was born in Nyack, NY, on Oct. 23, 1936 to Matthew and Emily Clark. Matthew played football and ran track for Nyack High School, then served in the Navy after graduating. Matt worked for the Telephone company for 35 years, as a lineman, foreman and systems analyst. Matthew is preceded in passing by his parents, his beloved first wife, Judith, and granddaughter Heather Hayes. Matthew will be held in precious memory by his devoted second wife, Celeste; his devoted siblings: Emily Joan Donato and James A. Clark; his six loving children: Matthew R. Clark Jr., Julie E. Clark Mumford, Kathleen M. Clark-Simmons, Patricia A. Guerin, Mark A. Clark, and Maureen E. Massaro; his five step children: Curtis Bashaw, Lynette Hull, Colleen Bashaw, Keith Bashaw and Rachel Elvgren; his nineteen grandchildren and four great grand children. The family will receive friends on Saturday 7-9 PM, and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Higgins Funeral Home, New City, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 11:30 AM at St. Anthony's Shrine with burial to follow in St. Anthony's Cemetery in Nanuet.
