Hedy Griffin, of Warwick, NY, and formerly of Cape Cod, MA, passed away on August 16, 2017 at Orange Regional Medical Center. She was 79 years old.
Born on November 30, 1937 in Nyack, NY, she was the daughter of the late Herman and Lola (Jung) Sasse.
Before retiring, Hedy was a Psychiatric Registered Nurse at Westchester Medical Center, where she was well known and respected. She touched the lives of everyone she came in contact with.
She is survived by her sons: Neil Griffin and his wife Christina and daughter of Estero, FL, and James Griffin her grandchildren: Thomas and Kristen of Warwick; Her brother, Victor Sasse and his wife Stella of North Creek, NY; Her nephew, Jeff Sasse and his wife Lisa and son, Tristan of Warwick; a nephew, Todd Sasse of CA; and a niece, Cindy Zecher, two children Alex and Jade and her husband Todd of Ramsey, NJ.
A memorial service was held in Warwick on September 9th
