NY with BA in Psychology
Marriage and Family Highlights - Married John Turner of Lock Haven, PA October 1962 - just celebrated our 38th! Lived in Bedford, IN for 6 years, and Saginaw, MI for 30. Two children: Russell, in Detroit area, and Deborah, in Denver area. Homemaker and/or Career Highlights - Enjoyed working in Boston (where I met John) at the Harvard School of Public Health and in Bedford, Indiana - all B.K. Best job of all -- a stay-at-home mom. When the kids finished school, I worked at an ad agency - last position held was media buyer -- which I loved. Retired 1996 - moved to Tucson Fall of 1997 Travel/Vacation Highlights - John and I love Elderhosteling. Our emphasis has been on the active ones, while the bodies are able. Highlights: rafting the Colorado River in the Grand Canyon, hiking Zion, Bryce, Grand Canyon and Big Bend NPs. Actually, each Elderhostel we have attended has been excellent. We hope to go on many, many more - and who knows - maybe see some of you there! Hobbies/Sports - Enjoy computing, communicating, knitting, reading, gardening, wildlife, hiking. Enjoy strenuous workouts at a local fitness center with a great bunch of guys and gals, and pre-dawn walks with John in our neighborhood. Civic/Church/Political Activities - In Saginaw I was active in schools, church and community. Here it's nice to be more laid back - at least at this juncture. Anything at all that you may want to say - When asked where I grew up, I respond with pride "Nyack, New York!" A safe, great town full of wonderful people in which to learn values lasting a lifetime! Have a great reunion! Would be nice if we could be there - maybe next time…. |
